How To World-Build A Novel ✨ 👀
Creating the world for Peach Tulips, my debut.
Listen along with this audio of “Jerusalem” for the full effect.
Hello hello,
One of my favorite parts of writing Peach Tulips, my debut novel, was getting to do a lot of world-building. The book is set in London and oftentimes I was writing in New York or California or Mexico, so I needed some way to bring me back to the music, the sights, the smells and the sounds of my hometown.
Today I wanted to share with you some of the world-building that I created, with images below from this Pinterest board and also this Spotify Playlist. Both are appropriately titled Britain, Britain, Britain, and I used them to get me in the mood when I was writing scenes.
Have a scroll through the images below. I hope you like them, and that you’re as excited to read the book as I am to share it with you!
Much love,
Tash
p.s. As I focus more on releasing and launching Peach Tulips, I’m taking a break from writing articles for Misseducated for the next few months, probably until the end of September. I still have book updates to share with you, and plenty more in store after that! If you would like to pause your paid subscription until then, I completely understand and won’t take it personally. Thank you all again SO much for supporting me and my work on this journey 🥳.
