Hey there,
I am putting together the final touches on the cover for Peach Tulips!
In fact, I am trying to get the book sent off to the printers this weekend. I’m using Book Baby to print the book. It is wild to think that once I get the sample copies in a few weeks, I will indeed be a printed, published author! I am so excited, and I am so grateful to each of you for supporting me on my adventures 🤗.
After much deliberation, reviewing your feedback (thank you all for doing that!), and more inputs from my target audience, here is the image I chose for the cover:
I love this image! The characters look like they’re young and in love, but there’s also tension. Which is exactly what I hope will encourage people to pick up a copy! Will they end up together? Will they not? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
Also, I know the flowers do not look much like tulips. I am hoping people will be forgiving and see them as more abstract than anything else. It makes sense with the story, I promise. I used an AI tool called Midjourney to make the image. While Midjourney is great at creating beautiful pictures in all kinds of styles, unfortunately, it’s not so good at hands and specific commands like “tulips” 🌷.
For example, things got a bit messy when I asked it to zoom out on the image:
Did you notice he’s either missing fingers or has seven on one hand? 🤦♀️
So, moving swiftly onwards, here are some options for the full cover I’ve been playing around with. Which one do you like the best?
Reminder: My paid subscribers will get a free copy of Peach Tulips when it comes out! It is not too late to upgrade to paid and further support my work!
