I’m very excited to announce “The Sex Report 🧬,” a new brand section of the Misseducated Substack! Here, we’ll conduct anonymous surveys and share findings on all things sexuality.
What is “The Sex Report 🧬”?
We will conduct polls on topics like monogamy, masturbation, kinks, sex work, and whatever else you’re curious about. For representative data, all responses will require some basic demographic questions like your age and race.
Once we get started, we’ll potentially develop an annual report to combine our most interesting findings! It’s going to be fun, funny, relatable, and visual, and the goal is to teach you something new!
What you’ll read:
Our original survey findings 🧐
Summaries of fascinating sexology research 🔬
We’re here to help academics’ work get the attention it deserves
Personal connections to the science 🧬
When I wrote: “How to Achieve Orgasm Equality.” Studies say heterosexual women reach orgasm about 65% of the time during sexual encounters; my personal estimate is closer to 45%, even with lots of toys and prompting!
Why create this?
Most people won’t share their sex stories publicly, but everyone loves a relatable statistic. Sex is such a big taboo that I want to explore using numbers so we can make these intimate details more shareable without calling anyone out. Think: dinner conversation starters using data1.
Why now?
With my Business Analytics degree and 8+ years of data visualization experience, including work with Planned Parenthood and Clue, I’m frankly dead curious to combine everything I know about data, science, and sex (or what I still want to find out) and see where it takes us.
Plus, a few Misseducated readers have mentioned to me that you loved the graphs in pieces like “On Dating Mexican Men” and “Three Generations Going on 30”. Statistics about sex don’t have to be serious!
My goal is to gain some traction so that next year, 2026, we can celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Hite Report2, a ground-breaking book that interviewed thousands of women about their sex lives and sold 50 million copies. It found that females need clitoral stimulation (and not necessarily men or penises!) to orgasm.
How can you help?

Tash
