You go girl. Make your own damn decisions. You deserve whatever it is YOU want. Let the rest of them sit on their high horse until hell freezes over, it’s your life and you get to make your own choices. Some of the strongest and happiest couples I know met and married after 30. One wanted until she was almost 50. She has the happiest marriage of anyone I know- at least from where I stand.

As a 73 year old single woman, divorced for 15 years, I applaud your search for meaning within yourself and the strength you show by standing up to the cultural "norm" of getting married and then divorced. The latest statistics are:

"Almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation. Researchers estimate that 41 percent of all first marriages end in divorce."

It's a crap shoot! The ONLY reason I don't regret my marriage is because I have two beautiful children I would not have had without it.

You go, Tash! Find your own, individual choice and don't let our fucked up culture bully you into anything. Love you...

“I wish you’d be like me so I can feel better about being me” seems to be the major theme of most relationships. Good onya for following your own inner compass. As my father, married for 46 years before my mother’s death always tells me, “the only relationship you’ll have for the rest of your life is with yourself, so make it a good one!”
