Hm. Interesting perspective and I can't say that I agree. I'd argue that male energy, as you say, hasn't done a good job of protecting women, given the amount abuse that women have endured for generations. Sensitive men, in that sense, might not be channeling their "male energy" in the typical way that you mention, but they certainly do a better job of being attuned to and meeting the physical and emotional needs of female partners. The world looks different today than it has historically, and the goal of my piece here was to suggest that what women need from men has changed as well. And maybe if men don't want to fulfill toxic roles of being a confident performer / provider, they might be happier, satisfy their partners better and be better off.
